At Claim Personal Power, we are committed to protecting your privacy.  We are committed to protecting the privacy of your personally-identifiable information as you use this website.  This Privacy Policy tells you how we protect and use information that we gather from you.  By using this website, you consent to the terms described in the most recent version of this Privacy Policy.  You should also read our Terms and Conditions to understand the general rules about your use of this website, and any additional terms that may apply when you access our services. 

 

 

Privacy Statement

 

At Claim Personal Power, we will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully.  We will use your information in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998, and the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) 2018.   Your details and information will be kept confidentially and will not be sold to marketing companies or passed on to a third party.

 

 

What type of information does Claim Personal Power collect?

 

We receive, collect and store any information you enter on our website or you provide to us in other ways.  We collect the following information from clients:

 

  1. Name

  2. Email address, Skype address, home address

  3. Phone number (your age will be required if you will be using our telephone service)

  4. Information supplied by the client as relevant information.

 

In addition, we collect the Internet Protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the internet.

 

 

How is Your Information Collected and Used?

 

When you conduct a transaction on our website, as part of the process, we collect personal information you give us, such as your name, address and email address. 

 

Your personal and non-personal information will be used specifically for the following purposes:

  1. To deliver our coaching services, to contact clients and to reply to enquires about our services. 

  2. To communicate with the client via Skype, phone, email, text or mail to deliver our services or to reply to enquires about our services.

  3. To create aggregated statistical data and other aggregated and/or inferred non-personal information, which we or our business partners may use to provide and improve our respective services.

  4. To comply with any applicable laws and regulations.

  5. To comply with our Insurance Indemnity policy.

 

Your personal information will not be used for marketing purposes or passed on to a third party.

 

 

How is Your Information stored, used, shared and disclosed   

 

Claim Personal Power is hosted on the Wix.com platform.  Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to sell our services to you.  Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications.  They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall.

 

All direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com and used by our company adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.  PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

Client coaching notes and related emails are stored securely and in an anonymous way for 3 years after the completion of our coaching relationship in compliance with our Insurance Indemnity Policy.  Notes taken during a complementary coaching session are treated in the same way as client coaching notes and are also kept securely and anonymously for 3 years.    

 

 

Are Cookies or Other Technologies used to Collect Personal Information?

 

Yes, we may use cookies and related technologies to collect information on our website.  A cookie is a text file that is placed on your hard disk by a web page server.  These do not identify you personally and helps the website run efficiently.  Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to your computer.  Cookies are uniquely assigned to you and can only be read by a web server in the domain that issued the cookie to you. 

Our web host Wix and Google Analytics collect statistical data.  This data does not identify any personal details.  It is restricted to users visits, page views and general geographical data and is used to analyse how visitors interact with our website.

You have the ability to accept or decline cookies.  Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline cookies if you prefer.  If you choose to decline cookies, you may not be able to fully experience the interactive features of our website.

 

 

Disclosing Your Information

 

Your personal information and coaching notes are kept confidentially at Claim Personal Power.  Your information is shared only in exceptional circumstances.

 

  • To assist fraud protection, to minimise credit risk and any other criminal activities.

  • Where we are legally required to disclose your information.

  • To prevent and safeguard against self-harm or harm to others.        

 

In such circumstances, we will only share the minimum necessary information. 

 

The Storage of Your Information

 

All of your information is kept securely.

 

Your information is kept in two ways:

  1. Electronic storage of your information is password protected.

 

  1. Coaching notes and any personal information in paper form is kept securely in a locked cabinet.  Coaching notes are kept for the coaching period and for 3 years after the end of your coaching period as required by my professional indemnity insurance.  Personal contact details are kept separately from coaching notes. Your personal details are not saved by the website.

 

After the 3-year post-coaching period, your information is safely destroyed.

 

 

Children’s Privacy

 

Claim Personal Power will not intentionally collect any personal information from children.  If you think we have collected personal information from a child, please contact us at wendy@claimpersonalpower.com.  

 

  

Privacy Policy Updates

 

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently.  Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website.  Every time we make material changes to this policy, we will state the updated date at the top of page one of this Privacy Policy.
